We love Luzia

New in from Louisa Harding this gorgeous fur knitting yarn 'Luzia'.
Fur is everywhere this season, so Louisa is bang on trend.

This little collar takes one ball (and one afternoon to knit!).

And this tippet scarf is two balls.

You can use it with other yarns. We thought fur cuffs could be pretty special too.

Or make a whole garment.
It is very easy to knit with, luxuriously soft and doesn't actually have the appearance of knitting. We have the collar knitted up in the shop, so come and have a stroke.

Christmas is coming............

Christmas Shopping Evening
Monday 4th November
6 - 10pm
Join us for a drink, seasonal nibbles
and first pick of Jolie's Christmas goodies.

True colours

The last days of summer. I picked a few late blooms from the garden to make a pretty jug full of colour before they're all gone. I found lavender, sweet peas and apricot coloured roses for a vibrant and sweet scented little posy.

Sheringham 2013

Or was it 1943? We had a wonderful time in Sheringham, Norfolk at the annual 1940's weekend held every September.

The whole town joins in with a huge effort and everyone dresses up for the occasion be they young or old.

The atmosphere is fantastic. There is bunting and 40's music playing in the streets and the shop windows are authentically decorated, not forgetting the tape.

We loved the window at No 10 Restaurant, 10 Augusta Street, where we had a nice cuppa. http://www.no10sheringham.com/

This was Creative Crafts in Station Rd.

You can take the steam train from Sheringham Station to Holt on North Norfolk's Poppy Line.

These little boys looked great playing on the beach in their flat caps and long shorts.

The Norfolk Five - Dany, Donna, Linda, Gwen and Hellie.
(This was the following day - hence we are not dressed up!)
